Veloraid 2015 came as sweet surprise like everything else in the month of Aug 2015. I was settling in Mumbai and shuttling Bangalore–Mumbai. Ashok mentioned about group from Mulund cyclist interested in one female and one male member. I was thinking of taming myself by doing team events this year and it was a perfect opportunity.

Format of this race is very interesting and not all cyclists can race in this format. Terrain is mix of good and bad road; also team should be mixture of experienced and amateur cyclist riding hybrid, MTB and road bikes. Team has to be together for all 180 km. You might have seen long n evaluating stories by my team members but in short it was very good teamwork. We had people with family responsibilities, few dealing with injuries; others had health issues this month particular and few very new to cycling. I was not training much these months but did some effort conditioning myself to Mumbai weather, bad roads and team ride. It was super team experience and very well organized event.
